Wildwood Productions signs multi-instrumentalist Izzy Meth

Indie label Wildwood Productions, LLC welcomed Izzy Meth into its stable of independent musicians this week. The 17-year-old multi-instrumentalist is slated to telease a series of rock-centric covers, including Rush’s “The Spirit of Radio.” Industry tastemakers highlight Meth’s vocal, guitar, drums, piano and synth work, which belie his years, and his refreshing new arrangements.

“Izzy Meth is awesome,” said veteran drummer Joe Franco responding to the Rush cover. Franco, a founding member of The Good Rats and long-time Twisted Sister member, noted: “I first heard of Izzy as a drummer but at 17 years old, he is now a singer and multi-instrumentalist excelling at every instrument he touches. Bravo!”

“Fresh and inventive, young Izzy has captured magic with his unique version of this Rush classic,” said Bruce Kulick, long-time guitarist of Kiss.

“Some say rock and roll is dead,” said pioneer punk rock writer/bassist Andy Shernoff of the Dictators, “but it warms this rockin’ senior citizen’s heart to hear Izzy Meth singing sweetly and playing all the instruments on his first recording, with the passion and spirit of a young Todd Rundgren or Paul McCartney. Old school meets new school; the future looks bright for Izzy Meth.”

Wildwood’s CEO, Darren Stakey, remarked, “The sky’s the limit for this exciting new talent. We’re proud to welcome Izzy Meth to our roster. He brings a truly unique and vibrant energy to his productions.”
